Acceptance of New Teenage TNI AD Officers: New Hope for Guardians of National Sovereignty

A total of 568 Juvenile Officers (Paja) graduating in 2024 were welcomed by the Chief of Army Staff (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc. at Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Jakarta. They consist of 417 graduates of the Military Academy (Akmil), 141 graduates of the Career Soldier Officer School (Sepa PK), and 10 graduates of Short Service Voluntary Soldiers (PSDP).This event was held after the inauguration of Prasetya Perwira (Praspa). Praspa Akmil was held at the Merdeka Palace with the Irup of President Joko Widodo on 16 July 2024, while Praspa Pa PK TNI and PSDP at the TNI Headquarters with the Irup of the TNI Commander General TNI Agus Subiyanto on 22 July 2024.Army Chief of Staff General Maruli emphasized that the tradition of receiving TNI AD Paja was part of the training to foster solidarity, pride, honor, fighting spirit, and shape the identity of soldiers. “Young Officers must have a sense of ownership and responsibility for the good name of the Indonesian Army. "Expand insight and knowledge, and ignite enthusiasm for work and service in all TNI AD units," said TNI General Maruli.Kasad also advised the younger generation of the Indonesian Army to adhere to three things in leadership: mastering the main tasks and understanding the targets that must be achieved, understanding the capabilities and limits of the unit's capabilities and oneself, and understanding aspects of humanism to foster sensitivity, solidarity and responsibility.These young officers are expected to bring a positive spirit in maintaining the country's sovereignty amidst global challenges.
